naido forecasts naps from your baby’s own rhythm and shows you an honest window instead of a fake minute. Logging takes one tap, at night too, in a calm dark design. It works it out on your phone — no account, no ads. Your entries only leave your phone encrypted.
Switching from Napper or Huckleberry? Bring your history. It works from day one.
Napper, Huckleberry, Baby Daybook, Baby Buddy — or a CSV file with columns for type and start. On iPhone: the encrypted web app works today, an App Store version is in the works.
A baby is not a clock. We tested the clever models — machine learning, sleep-science formulas — on nine months of real data. A simple estimate built from your baby’s last few days beat all of them, because a baby changes faster than a model can learn.
So naido shows a window sized to your child’s own variability. In about two out of three cases, the nap starts inside it. And when you spot the first yawn, one tap on “getting tired” beats every calculation — that’s new information, not old information recomputed.
Is it any good? Statistics shows the hit rate: for every past sleep, naido recalculates what the forecast would have shown back then, using only the data it had at that time, and whether the sleep began inside that window. The median deviation sits right next to it, so a wide window can’t flatter the number.
Sleep, nursing left or right, bottle, solids and diaper: one tap and the entry is there. If it started a quarter of an hour ago, chips like “−15 min” set the time. A widget logs straight from your home screen, and a running sleep or nursing session shows in the status bar where your phone supports it.
The design is dark and calm, with a red light theme for dark rooms if you like. The sound — white, pink or brown noise or rain — is generated on the phone, for a custom length up to 8 hours or continuously.
If you want, the Listener helps at night: while a sleep is being tracked (and, if you choose, in the predicted sleep window before it) it notices when your child wakes up and suggests the times in the morning. You confirm every suggestion yourself; the listener never ends a sleep on its own. Detection runs only on this device; sound is never stored or sent.
Coming from another app? Without history, a forecast needs one or two weeks of logging before it means anything. naido imports what you already have: Napper and Huckleberry CSV, Baby Daybook, Baby Buddy, or a CSV file with columns for type and start time.
With enough imported history, it then shows you how well it would have predicted your baby’s naps over the last months. That number is yours before you’ve paid anything.
Sleep apps need your child’s entries in order to predict anything. The only question is where those entries end up.

The sync between your devices is encrypted. We couldn’t read your child’s entries even if we wanted to; on request we could only hand over encrypted packages and administrative data, no readable entries.
According to their own information, the other apps in this overview compute the forecast on a server (as of 03.09.2026). With naido the phone does the maths. It works with no connection at all.
The family code is the family. Partner, grandparents and childminder join without anyone needing a second subscription.

Everything naido knows lives on your device. There’s no account to create and no server on which we could read your entries. Export your data whenever you like.
Tracking with your partner? Pair the phones with a QR code under Settings → Family & devices, and both of you see the same day. They sync through a mailbox only your devices can open — we run it, we can’t read it. At home on the same Wi-Fi, they don’t even need the mailbox.

The “Entry” button keeps what would otherwise end up on scraps of paper: medicine, temperature, pumping, notes, night wakings, growth, check-ups, vaccinations, activities, milestones and teeth. Reminders come with templates, for vitamin D or medicine on a schedule, and “Given” in the notification logs it straight away.
For check-ups: plans for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, growth curves (WHO) and a PDF report for the practice. For the German U-Heft, the attendance card or the vaccination record, “Import from photos” reads the numbers on your phone, and you check every value.
A model inside the app reads the numbers from your photos, on your phone. Only the values you confirm are saved, as ordinary entries.
Sleep, feeding, diapers, temperature, medicine, growth, check-ups and vaccinations for a period you choose, as a PDF. Created on the device, shared only when you tap Share.
naido keeps notes and reminds you. It makes no diagnoses and does not replace advice from your paediatric practice; amounts and duration of a medicine are for you and your practice to agree on.
Sleep forecast with statistics, diary with health, growth, check-ups and vaccinations, reminders, PDF report, sleep sounds, import, export and automatic backup. Multiple children. No time limit, no ads.
or €2.99 a month – founding price. For that: sync between your devices on Wi-Fi and over the internet, the web app in the browser, and sharing with caregivers, free for the caregiver. Prices in other currencies are shown in Google Play. It pays for the mailbox, not for access to your own data. Cancel and everything stays on your phone.
Multiple children: included. Diary, health and reminders: included. Export and backup: included. You only pay for what runs over sync: partner devices, web app, caregivers.
Not much. Sleep, nursing, bottle, solids and diaper are one tap each on the home screen or in the widget; chips like “−15 min” adjust the time. For the forecast, the start and end of each sleep are enough. If you used another app before, import your history and you don’t start from zero. Everything else, from temperature to milestones, you only log if you want to keep it.
The app is free: forecasts, diary, health, reminders, import, export, multiple children, no ads. The only paid part is Naido Premium for the family: sync between your devices over Wi-Fi, over the internet and with the web app, plus sharing with caregivers: €19.99 a year or €2.99 a month (founding price). One subscription covers the whole family, not each device. Prices in other currencies are shown in Google Play.
Your entries live on your phone, and there is no account. Your phone computes the forecast itself. On the same Wi-Fi, your devices exchange data directly and encrypted, without our server. If sync over the internet is also switched on, an encrypted package goes to the mailbox as well. When you sync over the internet, only an end-to-end encrypted package sits in a mailbox in the EU, readable only by your paired devices. We see the mailbox address, version and time information and, if applicable, the Premium proof, but no entries. The mailbox is deleted 30 days after the last upload. Details are in the privacy policy.
Yes. naido recognises Napper files (including the CSV files from the napper-export tool) and CSV files from Huckleberry automatically. Other CSV files work if they have one column for the kind of entry and one for the start; end, note, amount and nursing side come along if present. For Baby Daybook and Baby Buddy the app guides you through the transfer during import. Reading happens on your phone. If the import brings enough usable history (at least ten sleeps it can recalculate), naido then shows how well the forecast would have hit in it.
You pair the devices with a QR code: on one phone go to Settings → Family & devices → “Add device” (up to version 0.28: under Data), scan it on the other. On the same Wi-Fi they sync directly with each other, without the mailbox. For on the go and for the web app there is sync over the internet through an end-to-end encrypted mailbox; the app asks for your consent first. If it is switched on, the encrypted package also goes to the mailbox while you are at home. Both are part of Naido Premium.
Yes, with “Share with caregivers” (Naido Premium, free for the caregiver). Under Settings → Family & devices you create a share with times and send the link. During those times the caregiver logs in the browser on their own phone, without an app and without an account: sleep, bottle, solids and diaper, as you allow. They only see the child’s name and age in months, the forecast, your sleep times of today, since when the child has been awake, the last feed and their own entries from the last 7 days; no older history, no notes, no health details of yours. Your phone checks every entry before it goes into the log. Every share ends by itself and can be revoked.
On iPhone the encrypted web app works today, an App Store version is in the works. You sign in to the web app with a QR code that an Android device with naido scans. It syncs through the encrypted mailbox and is therefore part of Naido Premium.
Yes. naido has check-up plans for Germany, Austria and Switzerland; elsewhere you add your own appointments. For the German U-Heft, the attendance card or the vaccination record, “Import from photos” reads the numbers on your phone, and you check every value before it is saved. Measurements go into the growth curves (WHO), check-ups and vaccinations into the PDF report for the practice.
Your entries live on your phone, so naido makes backups: under Settings → Data as a file, encrypted with a password if you like, or automatically into a folder of your choice, such as a cloud folder. A card on the home screen reminds you when the last backup is getting old. With Naido Premium, your paired devices hold the entries too.
The Listener is off until you switch it on under Settings → Listener. Then it uses the microphone while a sleep is being tracked (and, if you choose, in the predicted sleep window before it), notices at night when your child wakes up and suggests the times in the morning. You confirm every suggestion yourself; the listener never ends a sleep on its own. Sound is analysed only on your device and is never stored or sent. The Listener suggests entries; it does not replace anyone looking in on your child.
Yes, with the “Diary only” mode: a pure log with entries, timer and day review, without forecasts and hints. You choose it during setup or any time under Settings → Mode. In between there is “Without reminders”: forecasts and day plan as usual, but no notification for the sleep window.
The subscription runs through Google Play and can be cancelled any time: in the app under Settings → Family & devices → “Manage subscription” (up to version 0.28: under Data), or in the Play Store under Subscriptions. Once the paid period ends, sync between your devices and with the web app pauses. Your entries stay, and the app with forecasts, diary, import and export stays free.
