naido as an alternative to Huckleberry

As of: 12.10.2026

You use Huckleberry and are thinking about switching to naido? This page puts both apps side by side: what they share, where they differ according to public information, and how your existing entries come along. Every statement about Huckleberry names its source and date. naido is an independent product by Velmun and has no connection to Huckleberry.

What both apps share

According to the provider’s public information (as of 03.09.2026), Huckleberry also forecasts the next sleep and shows no ads in the app. The same is true for naido.

Where naido does the maths

With naido your phone computes the forecast itself, even without a connection. Your entries stay on the device, and there is no account. When your devices sync over the internet, our server only holds an end-to-end encrypted package that we cannot read. How the forecast comes about is explained in How naido forecasts sleep.

Bringing your entries along

If you have exported your tracking data from Huckleberry as a CSV file, naido recognises the file automatically during import and takes over sleep, nursing, bottles, solids, pumping, diapers and medicine along with notes, as far as the file contains them. If Huckleberry is installed on your phone, naido shows you the steps during import.

If the import brings enough usable history (at least ten sleeps it can recalculate), naido then works out how well the forecast would have hit in it. You see that number before you pay anything. The import runs entirely on your phone.

What naido does not have

naido is an app for forecasting and logging, with a diary down to the check-ups. There are no courses or chat assistant in naido. The app is available for Android; on iPhone the encrypted web app works today, an App Store version is in the works.

What naido costs

The app is free, with no time limit and no ads. Only Naido Premium for the family (sync between your devices, web app, sharing with caregivers) costs €19.99 a year or €2.99 a month (founding price), once for the whole family: partner, grandparents and childminder join without a second subscription. If you cancel, your entries stay on your phone.
